Andreas Krob
Andreas Krob was born in 1969 in Niebüll, in Northern Germany, near the border with Denmark. He studied Industrial Design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. After a semester spent in Italy, he started working as a freelance designer before working in various positions in research and development departments of international companies.
In 2002 Krob moved to Switzerland, and in 2003 he founded B4K-Bureau4Dimensions Krob with his wife.
B4K combines the expertise of an industrial designer and architect to deliver precision solutions to challenging and innovative ventures in design and architecture. B4K works for leading office furniture manufacturing companies worldwide. These include Koleksiyon, Wiesner Hager, Halcon, Bernhardt Design, Okamura, Thonet, Samas Martin Stoll, Interstuhl, Classicon, BN Office Solutions, Stilo and others.
The core aspect of B4K work is to go beyond simply creating a piece of furniture. The company pays special attention to the high quality of the finished appearance as well as the functionality of the designs. Each element is prepared with an understanding of its function and meaning, so the finished form of the design does not occur randomly. Joachim Brüske, in collaboration, makes an in-depth contribution to this complex approach.
