Born in 1938, in Istanbul, Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye has worked on sculpture between 1956-58 at the Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy and has worked in ceramics at the Füreya Workshop. In the years that folowed, she continued her work at The Istanbul Eczacıbaşı Ceramic factory and at The Danish Royal Porcelain Factory in Copenhagen.
In 1969, in Copenhagen, she established her own workshop and then in 1987 moved it to Paris. Ebüzziya, between the years, 1975-90 has worked as a designer at The Rosenthal Porcelain Factory in Germany and since 1984 continued her work in Copenhagen at the Royal Porcelain Factory.
Her designs are displayed today, in many museums all around the world. During the last couple of decades Alev Siesbye has developed in one of the best ceramists in Denmark. Her taut bowl, howering on their tiny feet with glowing glazes and pinging sounds have long been admired.
Now Alev Siesbye brings her art into everyday life and onto the table with her new Glass Series for Koleksiyon called "Tigris".
